Service Description
Develop note reading skills including enharmonic equivalents, sharps, flats, naturals and transposition up or down an octave. Study and apply rhythm including whole, dotted half, half, quarter, dotted quarter, eighth and sixteenth notes and rests in 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 meters, including anacrusis. Learn scales and chords (tonic and dominant) in major and minor keys up to two sharps or flats, using both Roman numerals and lead sheet analysis. Explore intervals including per 1, maj 2, maj 3, min 3, per 4, per 5, maj 6, maj 7 and per 8 (above tonic in required Major keys). Gain knowledge of musical terms and signs. Compose short melody lines with a given rhythm using compositional techniques. Study real music examples containing all aspects of this level and the previous levels. Study the life and music of J.S.
